Every once in a while, something happens that makes you stop, wag your tail, and say… wow. This week was one of those moments for the DogPack team. Our AI “talking dog” podcast, starring Goldie and Frenchie, was featured in both Bloomberg Businessweek and Business Insider.
What started as a funny experiment to bring more people to the DogPack app somehow turned into two dogs cracking jokes on social media, and now they’re being talked about by some of the biggest names in media.
Not bad for a couple of animated dogs with microphones.

From a Simple Idea to a Viral Sensation
When we first imagined a dog podcast, the goal was simple: make people laugh. We wanted to create content that dog lovers could relate to, the kind that makes you say, “Yep, my dog definitely does that.”
So we gave voices to two clever canines, Goldie, the confident Golden Retriever with zero filter, and Frenchie, the sarcastic sidekick who never misses a punchline. Their “Pawdcast” quickly took off. Within months, they’d reached over a million followers across Instagram and TikTok.
Their jokes about needy humans, stolen socks, and questionable dating choices struck a chord. Apparently, everyone needed a laugh… and a little canine wisdom.
From Laughs to Real Heart
The dog podcast may have started as a comedy, but it evolved into something deeper. Goldie and Frenchie began highlighting rescue dogs, misunderstood breeds, and stories that tug at the heart.
“Our tear jerkers do best right now,” said DogPack’s CMO and co founder Dov Punski in Business Insider. “People don’t like to feel like they’re being tricked. We’re not trying to fool anyone. We just want to entertain and make people feel something real.”
That authenticity is exactly why millions have connected with these talking dogs. Behind the AI is a team of real dog lovers writing every line, every joke, every heartfelt moment.
Featured by Bloomberg and Business Insider
In his Bloomberg Businessweek article, Brad Stone gave DogPack a good-natured roast for our “dad-joke-level humor.” Fair enough. We admit it. Goldie’s sense of humor is… a little “ruff” around the edges.
But even Brad saw what’s happening here, how a playful idea grew into a creative movement blending technology, comedy, and heart.
Meanwhile, Business Insider’s Lucia Moses dove into how DogPack turned two talking dogs into a cultural moment. She shared how WME | William Morris Endeavor, one of Hollywood’s top agencies, is now helping us expand the Goldie and Frenchie universe into new kinds of content — from longer episodes to TV and brand collaborations.
Apparently, even Hollywood couldn’t resist the charm of two podcasting dogs.
What’s Next for DogPack
DogPack’s story doesn’t stop with the Pawdcast. Our social media family now includes over 2 million users in 20 countries, and our team is building new ways for dog lovers to connect every day.
As Jonathan Punski, DogPack’s CEO, put it:
“Today we’re creating heartfelt, purpose-driven videos, collaborating with famous dogs and the dogs of famous owners, reaching millions of people around the world.”
Up next is something we’re really excited about, the DogPack Marketplace, a new hub where pet lovers can discover unique, high-quality products from dog-friendly brands. And yes, Goldie and Frenchie might have a few opinions about that too.
Thank You for Being Part of the Pack
The truth is, none of this would be possible without our incredible community. Every comment, every laugh, every share, it all matters. You’re the reason Goldie and Frenchie keep showing up behind that virtual mic every week.
So here’s to the next chapter, to more laughs, more rescue stories, and more dogs who remind us that joy doesn’t have to be complicated.
